A plexi dome is a clear, dimensionally stable housing made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) that is used to protect and present objects.
A plexiglass dome is made of PMMA (plexiglass), a transparent thermoplastic with a high optical clarity. Due to its glass-like appearance and relatively low weight, it is a commonly used solution for protecting valuable or vulnerable objects.
The bell can be custom-made in various shapes and thicknesses, depending on the application and desired strength. Thanks to the high light transmission (up to ± 92%), objects under the dome remain clearly visible without significant distortion.
Plexi cloches are often combined with a base or base plate in wood, metal or plastic, enhancing both stability and aesthetics. They are used in museum contexts, retail presentations and industrial displays.
