For jewelry designer Vera Dewit, we created a 3D model based on a scanned sketch. This model would serve as a dividing layer between the wrist and the silver bracelet, so the final design should be flexible enough to fully enclose the silver base.
That's why we chose to work with Makerfill Flex TPU. This material has a shore hardness of 85. With a modified print profile, we sliced the design and forwarded it to the FDM printer.
Because the bracelet is printed in flexible filament, we need to install an extra layer around the model, called a brim. If we don't, the whole thing will start to deform during printing.
