For this project, we had to make replacement parts for broken seat legs. We fully measured these and then modelled them in Fusion360.
For production, we initially chose Ninjaflex steel TPU with a shore hardness of 80. This material quickly proved too soft, causing snap connections and mounting to damage the model. Ultimately, we also worked with Makerfill flex TPU for this project.
Because flexible material has a tendency to clog, we have compensated for this property in the slicer software by adding a horizontal expansion of -0.2mm. As a result, the thread remains operational even with flexible filament.
